This is the essay about the story, The wise old woman, retold by Yoshiko Uchida, summarized by Steve and Edwin.

The wise old woman was a great story about why that we should respect the elders, we must love them; brecciate them because they have pasted some events that we don’t know. This story is about a small village in western Japan, the people in the village thought that the old people don’t do anything for them, their present in the village is just waste foods and others things they were using. So instead of take care of them, the villager decided to ban them in to the mountains to dead. But there was a farmer who really loves his old mom, which he doesn’t want to expand her away. So dug a hold in his house for his mother to live in, he took care of his mom in a secret way. After 2 years, he still live that way. And one day, a man called Lord Higa came and wants to conquer his village, he had three conundrums and wants the village to answer them, if they can’t, he will take over his village. The first question was hard, the hall village can’t solve it, so the farmer ran back home and ask his mom, his mom said that it was very easy to solve, and she told him what to do, and he do the same thing as her told. The Lord was glad and gave the farmer a lot of gold. The Lord starts the second and the third conundrum. Like the first one, the farmer asked his mom for help, and she answered them an easy way. The Lord so surprised that a small was has a lot of smart people, so he forget about the village. The villagers ask that how the farmer could can answer the conundrums so easy, and he said that because he got a little help from his old wise mother. The villagers realized that all the men of wisdom in the village can’t be good at an old weak woman. So he “banned” the rule that ban the old people in the mountains, instead they take care more about the old people.

This story told us that the people that older than us, especially the old ones, they passed some events in the past that we haven’t know, they saw the events that important, that make them wiser, smarter, and sometimes they have more experience than us. The elders can teach us something that we don’t know. Have you ever thought that there are something that we can learn on our own and don’t need the help form the elders. Like you learn how to ride a bike, sometimes you cried when you fell, but thanks to the elders, you still stand up and keep do it until it is success. Or there are homework that we don’t understand, we can ask them to help. We don’t have to talk far, look into our family, our grandparents are the great example for us. If don’t have their exist on the life, we are not present at the present, thanks to them, we have our cousins, our parents, our brothers and sisters. If talks in a simple way, the elders are wiser, smarter, stronger, have more experience than us. They communicating their skills to us, what they have learnt in the past. In Vietnam, we got Hồ Chí Minh, the one who save his life just to save Vietnam from France, and when he is old, he still visit many places in Vietnam, and he communicated to many kids in Vietnam that still young, he taught them to learn, to respect, to have fun, to study in the right way that it must be. He didn’t make them to do it right, he had a conversation with them and wait for them to fix themselves. That proved that the elder can teach the kid how to do right things in the future. The elders are not boring, because they are old, and they can’t do anything like we do, one thing they can give us is knowledge, that is the only hard, big thing that they have. They don’t need strength to be respect, they gain respect from their knowledge. You can’t just Jud people on the outside, the inside is the most important.

The big Theme you should know: the elders are not boring, they are not stupid as we thought, they are wiser, smarter, so we must respect them.

Why doesn't don anselmo reveal who "owns" the trees on the first visit to the laywer's office? was he being clever, or was he unaware of the potential proplem? explain

a). I think the kids in that village will not agree to let them cut the trees or other things. How can they know for 100% is who really own those trees. They can't talk with all of the kids.The laywer's office can't answer this also, and they have to ask the children for argeement. Maybe the Americans win and take that trees, but they will get into some problem around.

b). The old man is really smart to do this. The Americans don't know the potential problem. The Americans though they will be better if they buy this land, but know, they realize that is not a good place. They will get what the pay.

Q.1 I think he embrrassed by his dad, because he doesn't understand his dad. And his dad had a bad time in past. Terry's dad just keep it along to his sefl. He doesn't want Terry to have some bad part in life.
Q.7 Yes I think so. Terry have to understand his dad, and why his dad get the syndrome. If Terry understand,and he can make his father feel more better. His dad share this story out, it might help him feel more free and less stress.

Jimmy is a very guy that we hard to elusive what in his head. His life really tedious and have nothing interesting. He have only one anguish is his left arm. He have to rehabilitate with his arm. I learned many interesting things about my classmates. Most of them are half Chinese and Vietnamese, but not  many of them know Chinese. They think Chinese is hard to study and other don't like it.
A few of other students grand father or father is fought in Vietnam War. Some of their parents is follow North Vietnam, some other is follow South Vietnam. One student in my class ancester is Nguyen Trai, famous gerneral of Vietnam

Lost 13-0 in soccer, which is most terrible game, like North Korea lost Australia in 2010 world cup. I can remember it really clear. 2 year ago, we choice to the soccer team. We have a hard time to choice in there, we all try our best. Many students fall, a few people get choice, in there have Mickey and me. At that time, our leader in soccer team is David (Vu Nam Son). He is the best player of the team at that time. Our coast at that time is Mr. Sharp. We feel very happy when we get choice, but the bad news is we have only two days for practice before the game.

Two day, before the game. We all try to pass the ball correctly. Mickey and I are defender. We have to move a lot and push a lot. I stay on the right side of the flied. I have to stop the attacker and get the ball. Then we have a break, and start to shooting at the goal. I get a hard time for it. I knew I can’t goal. I have to try to run more and more. I think we goanna win BIS or drawn with them. I can think about that because we have practice a lot. I saw every people are happy and be optimist.

One day, before the game. We are tired by practice but we are all happy. The coast let us have a game. We divide into three teams, and start the game. The red team get ball first and they play with us, blue team. We keep passing the ball a keep lost it. We try to goal but we can’t make it. So, the yellow team came in. The game start harder, but red team won. We have to play with red team, and we won them. We all think if we keep play like this, we will be the winner. Blue team also won the yellow team. I passed the ball to David, and then he ran like a horse and gave red team a furious thunder shoots at the goal. Suddenly, Nick jumped out as fast as a lightning and stopped the ball. We all yell up. But that is a very good game. We keep out happiness.

Today is the day to the battle. We have to leave out last class to play with BIS. On the way to BIS, I talking with Thai about other and think they just like us, maybe shorter than us. At the flied, we could see like giant mans with blond and brown hair. Their flied are 4 times more than our flied. They have 2 huge goals. We can a little bit that we will lose for 40 percent. Begin the first game, they give us the ball first and we start the game. We can’t move close to their goal. We have to give them long shoot. But BIS’s goal keeper jumped out like a giant King Kong, and stops the ball easily. Their turned to attack us. They attack as fast as an M-60 golden bullet. I have to stop them, and they just pass the ball to other people. And the give a tornado shoot to the goal. We lost 4 or 5 in the first game.

Start second game, Nick feel very tired and want to change me to be goal keeper, but our coast don’t want to do it. They tried to give us more and more shoot into our goal. Their goalkeeper also ran up and tries to goal too. All of us are very tired. They play with us like the Manchester United play with Cambodia. We don’t want to play and anymore, so that well pull back to defense. They keep changing people to shoot at our goal.  So we lost 13-0.

This is very bad game in my life. This make me changed to be goal keeper, and never think the enemies are bad. Never fall down, and try hardest. I get in study or work is same in the game. Always try hard and never fall back.

7.  He think Charlie can do it by his self. He also not sure that will be prefect. He want to try on Charlie and he want to challenge. I think Charlie can improve if he try hard. He will get hard time, but he need to tried more. He need more time then other. That will very hard for him if his IQ is 68, but if he try hard he might better.
